Ft. Lauderdale Beach

One of South Florida’s main attractions is it’s beaches and Ft. Lauderdale Beach ranks among the top beaches on the list. First made famous by the movie “Where The Boys Are” in 1960, it’s fame grew with the wild spring break parties in the ’60s and ’70s. Ft. Lauderdale has grown up now into a more family friendly beach. While still a popular spring break location, the bars such as the Candy Store that held wild wet t-shirt contests are now gone and in their place are tamer, more grown-up nightclubs and many excellent restaurants. There are still souvenir shops, what vacation spot doesn’t have those? Hotels are plentiful , as is parking. Check out the images below to see what Ft. Lauderdale beach has to offer.
